Campfire Sketches was inspired by songs of the old west-folk songs that pioneers might have sung while sitting around a campfire. The first movement, All the Pretty Little Horses, is a lullaby that is perfect for teaching legato playing and phrasing. The second movement, Cindy, is an up-tempo number in an old west style that gives all sections a chance to sparkle.
