Zodiac Dances wurde von der Izumiotsu City Band aus Osaka (Japan) anlässlich ihres 50-jährigen Bestehens in Auftrag gegeben. Philip Sparke schuf eine Suite aus Miniaturtänzen, von denen jeder jeweils ein Jahrzehnt und das entsprechende japanische Tierkreiszeichen symbolisiert. Das Werk ist energiegeladen und melodisch bis zum spektakulären Finale und damit ein perfektes Wettbewerbs- oder Konzertstück!
