Written in a neo-Romantic style, this grade 3 string work is legato throughout.  In the key of g minor and d minor, the melody line dovetails between parts, giving all players melodic interest. Beautiful harmonies, mostly in 3/4 time, some 3rd position in violin 1 part, a few ritards and divisi double stops are all featured in this work.  Have your students picture the French aristocracy dancing gracefully to this beautiful music!
